Out toward the end of a country road is a little oasis of country charm in the guise of an appealing Cape Cod house.  Just a few minutes from downtown Ellicottville, this home is about as secluded as you can get around here.  Set on just over 11 mostly wooded acres, the lot backs up to state land, and the road itself ends at state property just a few feet away.  In other words, it’s isolated, and quiet, and peaceful.

Just off the backyard deck is the back entrance that opens to a mudroom.  The laundry is right here; convenient for those who’ve just come in from skiing, snowmobiling or snowshoeing.  All throughout the home, oak trim provides a warm atmosphere despite the winter chill outside.  The large family room has a sliding glass door that leads to the deck.  Just off it is the kitchen.  The onyx appliances, granite counters and counter bar, plus oak cabinets create a charming workplace.  A large dining room is just off the kitchen, which opens into the living room and creates a great way to isolate those who need their daily fix of game shows, while others in the family room can watch the news.  There is a bedroom on this level as well.

Unlike most Cape Cod homes, this home has a full second floor.  The bedrooms have full height ceilings, so you don’t have to put up with stooping to get into bed.  The master suite is bigger than you might expect.  The bedroom is roomy and has a reading alcove in the dormer.  The master bath sets a unique country style: oak wainscoting and trim, tile floors.  The third bedroom is on this floor as well.  If you’re going to have a home in snow country, then you can’t beat an attached garage, and this home has an attached two-car garage.  Down below is a full basement with a workshop area.  Outside Summer entertainment is found on the large deck with barbeque and an above ground swimming pool.  You’d be hard pressed to find a quiet, secluded, home with the kind of stay at home amenities found in this comfortable and charming spot.  For more information about this home contact Tina Dillon, GRI Licensed Sales Associate at ERA Team VP Real Estate at 716-474-5646.
