First Annual Event Scheduled for June 16, 2012

The first annual Holiday Valley Mudslide is scheduled for Saturday, June 16, 2012. Pre- Registration will be available until May 30 at Active.com for $45 for the 3.5 mile run and $10 for the kids’ run. A 6 mile course is also in the planning stages. Day of race registration is from 8AM to 10AM and is $60 for the 3.5 mile run, $15 for the kids run. Pre-registered competitors are guaranteed a t-shirt. All competitors will receive a goody bag.
The event will start at 11AM from Spruce Lake. A ride to the start on the Spruce Lake chairlift is included in the entry fee. Spectators may ride for $5. The course goes from Spruce Lake, across the cross country trails to the top of Eagle, down Woodstock, across Explorer to Morning Star then through the woods and across Mardi Gras, down Holiday Run to Edelweiss and finish at the Training Center. Several obstacles to help you get very muddy will be along the trail and the final challenge is a giant mud slide down lower Yodeler. The post-race party to end all parties starts at 1:00 with hot dogs, beer, music and craziness.
Costumes are encouraged, and prizes will be awarded to the most creative.
